Treehouse at Easthampton Meadow is a unique intergenerational, mixed-income rental community for families who are making permanent commitments to children through adoption, foster and kinship care and seniors who commit to supporting these families. This rental community opened in 2006 and includes twelve large family apartment homes for foster/adoptive families and 48 “cottages” for seniors who serve as the community’s foster grandparents. Phase 2, The Homes at Easthampton Meadow, will include 33 for-sale homes, nine of which will be available to income-eligible first time homebuyers. These homes will be designed to be close to net-zero energy homes, meaning that they can generate more energy than they consume.
