Beacon Communities Welcomes Addie Forster as Associate General Counsel, Property Management
Forster will serve as a dedicated legal partner to Beacon Residential Management, supporting property operations across the company’s portfolio.
Boston, MA – Beacon Communities welcomed Addie Forster as Associate General Counsel, Property Management. Addie will work closely with Beacon Residential Management and property management teams to provide legal guidance and strategic counsel on matters related to property operations, affordable housing compliance, litigation management, fair housing, vendor contracts, and other legal issues impacting Beacon’s communities and residents.
The role, reporting to Nicole Clement, General Counsel, will provide practical, business-focused legal support for the ownership and management of Beacon’s affordable, mixed-income, and commercial partners while helping the organization navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
Addie brings more than a decade of legal experience spanning multifamily housing, commercial real estate, compliance, risk management, and corporate operations. Previously, she served as an Associate and Staff Attorney at Berkshire Residential Investments, where she worked directly with property operations and asset management teams. During her tenure, she helped support the growth of a nationwide multifamily housing portfolio, collaborating with on-site teams to develop scalable legal guidance and processes that improved operational consistency across the organization.
Her experience also includes serving as a Fellow and Senior Fellow with Harvard University’s Office of Dispute Resolution, where she conducted complex investigations, delivered policy and compliance training, and evaluated matters involving sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and related civil rights issues. Earlier in her career, Addie held various legal positions with John Hancock’s Global Real Estate Finance group (now Manulife Real Estate Finance) and Rockpoint Group.
“Addie brings a thoughtful, practical, and collaborative approach to legal work that aligns well with Beacon’s core values and the needs of our property management teams,” said Nicole Clement, General Counsel at Beacon Communities. “Her background in multifamily housing, compliance, risk management, and property operations makes her an excellent fit for this role, and I am thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
The position serves as a bridge between Beacon’s legal and property management teams, ensuring legal considerations are translated into practical operational solutions.
“I am honored to join Beacon and eager to dig into the work alongside our Property Management teams. I look forward to contributing to Beacon’s mission of ‘Living Well by Design’ and supporting the people and communities at the heart of that mission.”
A member of the Massachusetts Bar, Addie earned her Juris Doctor from New England Law Boston and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from The University of Colorado, Boulder. She has also been actively involved with organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts (formerly Big Sister Boston) and Project Citizenship.
